How We Support Growth and Learning

Through research-backed Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), our approach focuses on increasing positive skills and behavior through natural play and activities. Our approach does not look like “therapy” and instead builds skills through natural play and school activities that are skillfully tailored to each child’s interests, age, and development. At Ability, children learn in ways that feel natural, joyful, and fun.

  • For younger children: Play-based, hands-on learning helps children communicate, regulate emotions, and engage with peers.

  • For older children: Real-life activities, school-like routines, social skills learning, and enrichment opportunities build independence, social, emotional, and communication skills.

  • School readiness: Our programs prepare children for success in classrooms by blending social communication, routines, academic readiness, social-emotional learning, and enrichment.

We carefully track each child’s progress, tailoring activities to their unique needs and growth. Families see real, measurable outcomes — and we always focus on empowering independence.

Joyful Learning and Play

Learning is most effective when it is enjoyable. Our sessions foster curiosity, creativity, and confidence, helping children find joy in learning while simultaneously building real-life skills. Founder Dr. Amy Foxman has been practicing play-based and naturalistic ABA for over 15 years, and Ability ABA was one of the first local companies with a focus on naturalistic, compassionate ABA.
